Baltaz Ltd offers hand-made timber houses from dried logs. We offer a variety of timber house sizes from tiny cabins for children, to luxurious cottages. Pinewood boards widely used in the construction of laftehytte |
Pine boards ready for use |
Stored pine wood boards |
For floors, ceiling, window lists and door lists, terrace floor and railing according to our standard, pine wood is used. According to the customer wish we may use other wood, for example larch. Staircases are made out of pine, though ash and oak also can be applied. For insulation between logs, natural flax is applied.
You may check our standards in chapter “Standards of delivery” (in Norwegian).
Delivery terms
Houses are made in Lithuania, and they are delivered to and assembled abroad. For example, a 100 sq meters house is to be made, delivered to and assembled in Norway within 4 to 6 months, regarding the complexity of the structure. In addition, it may depend on the line in the section of production; you will be informed concerning the exact time when your cottage may be started before signing the contract.

Standard walls are 8 inches (20 cm) thick, though wall size is adaptable to the needs of the customer. Logs are made out of dry pinewood. To join logs at the corners, we use Norwegian corner crossing. To make outside walls more resistant to weather conditions, we can cover them with natural tar (check for the details at section “Accesories”). Inside walls can be covered with flax oil.
